I design the interfacebetween people, systemsand intelligence.
15+ years designing and engineering production web systems — now combining product thinking, interface design, frontend architecture and AI into intelligent digital experiences.
Matter-scoped legal AI workflow suite where every action belongs to a matter, every output is a cited draft, and nothing ships without attorney approval.
Role
Product strategy, system architecture, workflow and interface design, engineering
Select a layer to see what it touches. The value is not any single layer — it is moving between them without a handoff losing the intent.
The build system
From ambiguity to production.
The promise underneath every engagement: turning unclear problems into durable systems, then staying long enough to see what they reveal.
01
Understand
Interrogate the real problem, the constraints and who is affected before proposing anything.
02
Model
Map the system: entities, flows, states, edges. Ambiguity gets structure here or nowhere.
03
Design
Interface and information architecture, built on tokens and components rather than screens.
04
Engineer
Typed, accessible, performant frontend architecture — production code, not a prototype.
05
Validate
Real devices, real content, real edge cases. Accessibility and performance are acceptance criteria.
06
Ship
Deploy with the boring parts handled: metadata, analytics, caching, rollback, documentation.
07
Observe
Instrumentation and search visibility so behaviour is measured instead of assumed.
08
Improve
Feed what the system reveals back into the model. Durable systems are iterated, not finished.
About
Several professional lives, one instinct for systems.
Several professional lives, all of them about systems. The pattern underneath — read the system, model it, make it usable — is what AI now multiplies.
Before software
Habitat biologist
Field ecology trains you to read systems you did not design: interdependence, feedback loops, and the difference between a symptom and a cause.
Writing
24 published strategy guides
Long-form technical writing for players who needed to understand complex systems quickly. Structure, hierarchy and clarity, at volume.
Discipline
II Degree Taekwon-Do black belt
Years of deliberate practice on fundamentals. It is the same instinct that makes design systems and typed architectures feel worth the effort.
Working life
15+ years remote, 26 countries
Delivering production work across time zones and cultures, for teams that never shared a room.
Global fieldwork · 26 countries
Every project shaped by the room I was in
Remote-first across six continents. Fifteen years of work in different time zones, different languages, and different definitions of ‘done’ — all of it in service of shipping durable web systems.

Engagement
Bring me the difficult part.
01
Embedded design engineering
For teams building or rebuilding an important digital surface.
I join as a single operator who can research, design, build and ship — removing the handoffs that usually slow the work down.
02
AI-native product & workflow
For companies turning AI capability into actual usable systems.
Interfaces, agents and automations grounded in real context, with clear boundaries on what the model is allowed to do.
03
Fractional technical leadership
For organisations needing senior ownership without another executive hire.
Architecture decisions, standards, vendor judgment and production accountability — at the depth the problem requires.
